“The best poll result is not expected to take Nifty beyond the 12,000 mark. On the other hand, highest Put open interest is at 11,500. This level may extend mild support if the index sees volatile moves,” Vaishnav further added.
Sensex crossed the level of 39850 after the record high of 800 points in the initial 15 minutes of trading. On May 21, the Sensex was at all-time high level of 39571 due to exit poll results.
Earlier, in 2014 when the Narendra Modi BJP was voted to power, BSE benchmark Sensex for the first time scaled the mark 25,000 on the results day on May 16. The index closed 0.90 per cent higher at 24,121.

A 27-year-old gym trainer, who was also a Social Media Celebrity, has been shot dead on Tuesday.
Mohit Mor a resident of Bahadurgarh who was a TikTok
sensation has been shot dead by three unidentified men at a shop in outer Delhi’s Najafgarh.
The incident took place around 5.15 p.m. when Mohit, had
gone to meet his friend at a photocopy shop near his residence in Najafgarh’s
Dharmpura area.
A senior police officer said, “When Mohit Mor was busy
talking with his friend inside the shop, three armed persons barged inside the
shop and indiscriminately fired 13 bullets on him. Mohit Mor fell on a sofa
kept inside the shop. He was rushed to near-by hospital where he was declared
brought dead. Mohit Mor suffered 7 bullets.”
“All the three accused, one of them wearing a black
helmet, had come on a Scooty. They were seen in a CCTV footage running away
from the busy narrow street after the crime,” he further added.
Mohit was having 5.17 lakh followers on TikTok and more than
two thousand followers on Instagram; he had made many inspiring and
motivational videos on TikTok. Mohit
father passed away a few years ago, after that he was survived by his mother
and brother.
The senior police officer said, “We are trying to identify
the accused, Prima facie, it appears a case of personal enmity and a money dispute,
We are checking his TikTok and Instagram accounts comments and Call Details
Record (CDR) to establish his enmity with anyone on social media that may help
us to crack the case.”
A murder case has been registered by the police under the
relevant sections of the Indian penal code, probe underway.
The incident occurred two days after two criminals were shot
dead on a busy road at Dwarka Mor. However police denied any link with it.
